3/25/13

Hey family!

How is everyone? Tell Coop good job on his soccer game, that is sweet he is getting shots at goals, that usually didn't happen when I left. And tell Brook and Mary good luck and good job on their singing, that is really cool, talented little kids. I kind of miss when I didn't have to wince the whole time while we sang hymns at church!

Anyway we had a talent show here this week, it was really cool, and everyone had a lot of fun. We were hoping to find some new investigators that way but nothing really came out of it. Oh well the members liked it. And to answer dads question the no contacting and knocking doors is a Mexico wide rule as far as I can tell.

Also I have loved living with the other Elders, it makes the time pass by really fast and we all become really good friends. But today I am a little bummed. Last night at 930 they called and told Elder Maughn that he had special changes and he left this morning at 8. He is defiantly the best friend I have made in the mission, so it kind of sucks. But that’s what happens. We have normal changes this coming week, so we will have to see how that goes, I am definitely getting a new comp. Everyone says I will be training if new missionaries get here, I’m not really sure how I feel about that. I am still pretty new.

So the good news of this week is that our investigator Yesenia went to church with us! And she loved it! So she should be ready for her baptismal date for April 6th and we will do it in between conference sessions! It’s going to be really cool. It just sucks my comp won’t be here for it. But what do you do. We have had some success with some other investigators but they aren't really progressing really well. We will see how it goes. We are supposed to have a reference tonight, finally. It will be the first time in this area. The member is going with us too, that’s always really good. So things are looking pretty good.

Well that’s about it for this week. Keep reading your scriptures, do family home evenings and NEVER forget to pray to our Father in Heaven.

I love you all and I miss you
Elder Utley
